Hi, I’d like to introduce myself and share a little about my background.
I'm Nadine and I am a GMC registered medical professional, I currently work within the Primary Care sector, supporting patients in GP practices. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to follow my passion in both my medical career and my career as an aesthetic practitioner. Caring for others has always been at the heart of who I am, and it is this caring nature that first led me into healthcare. I have a genuine passion for helping people and supporting them to feel their very best, both physically and emotionally.
Over time, my medical and aesthetic careers have naturally begun to overlap. Within primary care, I am qualified in minor surgery and have always enjoyed the precision and hands-on nature of the work. It was here that my passion for aesthetics first began to develop and have since qualified as a Level 7 Aesthetic Practitioner. In my medical career I have developed a specialist interest in women’s health. My daily role includes performing cervical screening (smear tests), fitting long-acting reversible contraceptive devices such as subdermal implants and intrauterine devices (coils), conducting HRT assessments and treatment planning, and carrying out intimate examinations, including breast, vaginal, and pelvic examinations. I am also responsible for making urgent suspected cancer referrals when clinically indicated.
A significant part of my role involves diagnosing and staging pelvic organ prolapse, including bladder, uterine, and rectal prolapse. I support women in managing a wide range of pelvic floor symptoms through both medical and non-surgical interventions. These may include oral medications, vaginal lubricants, hormone-based therapies, and the fitting of PVC vaginal pessaries to provide physical support for pelvic organ prolapse.
These treatments can help alleviate symptoms such as stress urinary incontinence, urge incontinence, bowel incontinence, pelvic heaviness, pelvic pain, discomfort during intercourse, and vaginal bulging. Where necessary, I also refer patients into secondary care for specialist assessment and potential surgical intervention. However, One of the key foundations of any medical treatment plan outlined above is ALWAYS pelvic floor, or Kegel, exercises to run alongside. Through my work, I have seen first-hand the significant impact pelvic floor dysfunction can have on a woman’s quality of life. Many women struggle in silence, feeling embarrassed, isolated, or unsure where to seek help.
Needless to say, I have gained extensive experience in women’s health and the management of pelvic floor dysfunction at all stages of life. I also understand the challenges women face in maintaining a consistent pelvic floor exercise programme. Whether due to limited local services, time constraints, competing priorities, or lack of motivation, many women find it difficult to access the support they need. As a result, countless women miss out on social activities, family outings, and everyday experiences because of concerns about bladder or bowel control and access to toilet facilities.
This is where my Aesthetic Clinical Practice can make a real difference. After extensively reviewing clinical evidence, assessing the pelvic floor chairs currently available on the market, and consulting with industry experts, we chose to invest in the Ultra Tesla Chair.
